2018 Summer trip - An Ola outstation trip

Planned a 6-day ola outstation trip, with booking hotels ourselves, instead of buying a package tour, this time.  This turned out to be a lot more economical, compared to buying a package tour, and also, we booked a Prime SUV, instead of a Sedan that package tours generally provide, so that it is more convenient for the long tour.  Even with booking a Prime SUV, it turned out to be cheaper than the quotations for a package tour covering the same places.

Places visited:

• Day 1: We reached Rameshwaram from Bengaluru, visited the Pamban beach
• Day 2:
• At Rameshwaram, bath at temple, darshan, and then left to Kanyakumari. 
• Watched sunset at sunset point, and the full moon at the sunset point.
• Day 3:
• Visit to Vivekananda Rock Memorial at Kanyakumari
• Trisea Sangam at Kanyakumari
• Left from Kanyakumari to Thiruvananthapuram
• Sunset at Kovalam beach
• Kite flying at Kovalam beach
• Day 4:
• Darshan at Thiruvananthapuram temple
• We left from there to Alleppey
• Cruise in houseboat
• On the way, the houseboat stopped at a place at about sunset time. Watched the sun there
• Overnight sleep at houseboat
• Day 5
• Cruise back in the houseboat to Alleppey
• Left Alleppey to Kalady, Visit to Shankaracharya's birthplace there
• Left Kalady to Chavakkad beach
• Kite flying and sunset at Chavakkad beach
• Went to Guruvayur's Mammiyur Mahadeva temple
• Day 6
• Darshan at the Guruvayur Krishna temple
• Left Guruvayur to Coimbatore - Dhyanalinga temple, Adiyogi statue
• Overnight drive back to Bengaluru
